Mikumi National Park is the third largest park located in the southern part of Tanzania. It is less crowded and more affordable compared to Serengeti National Park. Moreover, this park is the closest to Dar es Salaam, the capital of Tanzania, than any other park in Tanzania (apart from Sadaani National Park.)
Mikumi National Park is home to a wide variety of mammals, reptiles, and over 300 species of birds. Animals frequently seen in Mikumi National Park include lions, buffaloes, giraffes, zebras, elephants, and many more. In addition, you will be able to see more than 300 species of birds and a variety of plants.
We will pick you up from your hotel in Dar Es Salaam at 8 am, you will soon start the 5-6 hour drive trip to Mikumi National Park. Along the way, you will enjoy the view of Uluguru mountains, sisal plantations, and locals from the Morogoro region (non-stop).
You will stop for lunch in Morogoro town on the way to Mikumi on the way you will have a chance to see different animals, zebra, elephant, giraffe, warthogs, antelope, buffaloes, monkey, you will arrive at your hotel at 3 or 4
You will then go to visit the Maasai village, where you will see the Maasa culture and tradition you can have a chance to dance with them and get more history about the Maasai
You will start the safari early in the morning at 6:30 until the afternoon at 1 pm you will stop for lunch After lunch the drive will continue again until 4 or 5 pm
